Hallelujah! The Poço Partido traffic lights are working! Or at least were at lunchtime!

Are they the ones on the way to Lagoa that went up last June and still were off in September? Mike, Chislehurst

Doesn't he mean the ones just passed Intermarché on the way into Carvoeiro, where there is the dangerous turning left by a small mini mercado? Yes, they've been there for ages without being connected up.

Yes, the ones just past Intermarché on the way to Cvo. The junction with the Poço Partido turning.

In these heady days of traffic lights being replace by roundabouts it brought a tear to my eye to see them in operation!

The only problem is that the last time they were working they brought chaos to the turning and the traffic flowed much better without them. Unfortunately the road is not wide enough to allow the creation of a third lane which would enable traffic to turn into Poc Partido without blocking the road to CVO

Traffic lights were still working this evening on my way home from work....there was quite a queue of traffic which put me just after the bend out of view! I very nearly got rear ended!!! I'm not quite sure if these lights will reduce or increase the accidents at that junction!

Well I think your all being very unkind to our Portuguese cousins...when you know perfectly well that they have a history of good planning and therefore, thinking well in advance

Judging by recent developments I presume that the senior Camara official whose relative owned a traffic light company has been replaced by one whose relative owns a roundabout construction company.

To be honest...I am not sure...but it looks like they are in the UK..the truck seems to be on the left side of the bollard....anyone else recognize them?
