Fishing

Post by tbbr »

Do any forum members have any knowledge of Rock, Beach or freshwater fishing in the area.
Locations, baits methods etc , any info would be welcomed.

( great as golf is too expensive to play all the time )

That sure is an extension on the old fun in the sun/beach/waterparks/golf.

I would try and go for a link exchange - but that is Steens department. Maybe you can drop him a mail. :)

On recent vicit noticed locals ( only they would have the head for heights ) fishing off the cliffs at Benagil.
They were obviously catching fish, but there must be safer and easier way to do it.

I have to say that my knowledge of fishing is zero...but I can tell you that I have often seen large fish(?).... swimming and pulled out by Portuguese nationals.....whilst just standing on the pavement in Silves which runs alongside the Arade River with what appears to me to be.... a very simple fishing line...
