back to the future in silves

Post by martin »

near the Roman bridge in silves there stands a large countdown clock..clicking every second, every minute and day towards the day when the "obras" in Silves would be finished...about 3 weeks ago we had a bad storm with large lightening strikes...I notice now amazingly that the clock has gone back three years (or so!) (just like the film eh?)

to think that we in Silves have been the first to see time travel....I am already looking 3 years younger and my John Delirium sports coupe is much faster.

sadly for those who have applied for licences etc will have to wait for say another three years - but whats a small delay when you you have gained three years of extra life.

ps theres also a funny blue old uk police call box in the square...any info on the owner?

I've often wondered what will happen if the works over-run - maybe my question has just been answered

Hey Martin...is that true? I am glad someone is observant. I pass that ugly thing every day and barely take any notice of it any more. I was thinking the same as Kteee. So I expect next year when there is another lightening storm we will become even more youthful. Oh so cynical.
