WEBCAM stuck in rain mode

It appears the rain in Carvoeiro has the webcam stuck at Tuesday, November 22, 2:18. Is it still raining there?

And boy did it rain last night! It was lashing it down. I think a few bus shelters ended up not being on a bus route any more.

When it rains here, it sure does rain.

Are there any official figures for the recent rainfall in the Algarve that can be accessed via the internet? Mike

I found this quite by accident, and it's huge. The Algarve bit is on pages 142 on.
What is very interesting is that 90% of water in the Algarve is used by agriculture and 3% by tourism. So, unless golf has been redefined as agriculture, it seems to have been wrongly accused by me and others. Unless that is this document is wrong.

Seems to me the only logical thing to do then is to cut back on the agriculture and build a lot more golf courses, since they seem to be more cost effective

If you look further in this report, Annex ll-14 states that the water supply comes from the surface at 84% and ground water at 16%. Again, all the complaining well owners should be looking at users other than golf courses. From watching last weekend's golf I was astounded to see all the water ponds on the course, even a waterfall. When I visited this course last March, I do not remember seeing any water hazards at all. From personal knowledge golf courses are more apt to use surface water than ground water and that's why they have all those ponds.

The rain has stopped over the last couple of days and clear, sunny skies are back. But there was the first frost of the winter this morning I noticed and it was rather cold last night...about 3ºC I think...brrrr...

Mind you I think that probably seems tropical compared to UK at the moment.

The weather is a lot better than the capital of Canada. THe high today will be -3 with snow showers. Plus the ground is all white with all the snow that fell yesterday. Enjoy.
