I must say Blondy Crane that you are a very fickle man! I offer you bi-cardies and now youre into bed jumping
Actually Im in the middle of creating a super knitted duvet. Its a sort of patchwork affair, with little knitted scenes of Carvoeiro's nightlife. The one of LSD is knitted in special fluorescent 'electric red',and when the lights off it flashes in the dark ,so you wont get lost
D'you think theres a market for this type of bedding in Carvoeiro? just a thought ,as the nites get chilly there and you need some extra woolly warmth.......................................................
speaking of which, wheres Rod and Sam :P 8)

What are you lot like. Avvie comes on to this forum and asks a sensible question, which is what this section is about, gets one answer and then the whole thing disintegrates as people give petty responses. Why can't you restrict your kiddy postings to chit chat.
Oh and yes I know we're goin to get the usual response 'this is another reason for a member only forum blah, blah' and 'we're only havin a bit of fun, blah blah'. Look at yourselves and lets at least have one area where there's a bit of sense written. why dont the moderators stop this oh yes one of them is a moderator enough said

Making myself unpopular again which is all I seem to do recently on here but I agree with Guest 7.06pm; we fought long and hard for the Chit Chat section claiming that once we had that section we could take banter off the main pages and 'Guests' would have nothing complain about and of course those that enjoyed the banter could read it on Chit Chat and hopefully join in the fun - so why are we letting ourselves down?

I feel we made a commitment/promise about how we would use the forum were we to get a space for off topic banter and are now going back on it.

Duvets.

Frankly, when I arrived in the Algarve some 5yrs ago I too looked around for good Duvets out here, but failed to really find one of say Fogarty quality. One of my sisters eventually bought one out for me from the UK. In fact I say one, it is actually 2 connected by popper studs, one a lighter tog and another heavy.

In the Algarve:

1)Guia..Next Door to the Algarve Shopping Centre on The new Shopping part and next door to CASA, is a large shop selling just about everything inclusive of bedding and duvets.

2) Alvor. Linda owns the Factory Outlet Shop for Bespreads etc and now stocks pillows and duvets (UK Sizes). Shop Tel No: 282 457 510
Mobile: 968 237 310 www.bedspreadsportugal.com .

The shop's name is Bedspreads,
13b Rua do Castelo.
Alvor. (Close to Veg Market)

Opening Hours Mon-Fri-10.30am-7.00pm
Sat-10.30am-2.00pm.

If I can be of any further assistance, please don't hesistate to let me know. Sorry if we appear to muck about at times, but it normally means one of us is trying to locate the information requested etc.

Kind Regard
Nightrider :)

I agree with you, Maddi - a little banter is fine, but this is riduculous! Check out this topic for more thoughts on that subject...

...and in the meantime, back to Duvets! The high street names that have been mentioned are all great, I'm sure. However, if you're looking for something really luxurious or perhaps to fit a UK sized bed, you might want to call Miller & Schultz - PM me if you want the contacts.

Maddi,

You live in UK, I and others live here in the Algarve and when a question is placed on the forum, it is not always a simply matter of anyone being able to give the answer without searching. Sometimes I and others work on very sensitive matters, the reply and dealings therefore, cannot be posted on the forum, so it would appear at certain times that no reply has been given, when it has via pm. Therefore, things are not always what they appear to be. Unlike one other on this forum I do make snide remarks or inuendo (this for the record is not you). Personally, I would not conduct myself in such a manner and to be frank I find it upsetting and really I am quite shocked at where it is coming from i.e. an original member, who really should know better and if anything is doing harm to the forum.

I trust this matter is now clear.

With Kind Regards as Always
Nightrider.
