We are shortly moving to the Carvoiero area and are having to have some major works carried out on the villa we have purchased prior to moving in. We do not have any large items of furniture being shipped over but have quite a bit of personal effects that we must consider short term storing. Is there anything like the Big Yellow Storage in the area that allows constant entry and exit for stored items that is very secure

There are a number of people offering the services you require and I can personally recommend Direct Transport in Albufeira, plus A.I.M. and 125 Removals who are both based in Odiaxere. I believe all three offer transport from the UK as well as storage. I have used Direct Transport myself, and have friends that have used the latter two.

There is a company called U-Store which offer you a dedicated space in a secure warehouse that you have access to whenever you need it during working hours - could be handy, but I can't recommend them from personal experience.

Used U Store earlier this year and can really recommend them.Very friendly guy ( Jim ) also very reasonable prices too!
They will store small amounts on a palette or there are different sized lockups.
