NO. Someone told us that there were a lot of plots and developments going on in this area and the area is very cheap at least 40 per cent less then anywhere else in the UK.

We are shortly going for a visit and inspections, we will of course pass on any news that we gain.

I don't think that you will find Bristol cheap. It may be that some remote parts of Somerset are less expensive, but generally the south west of England is no cheaper than the midlands or north.

I suspect that some one has their tongue firmly in their cheek.

But in the cvery unlikely event of this being a half serious question if you have got £150 £180k plus for a new 1-2 bedroom apt or very small house go for it.

Thank you TBBR for confirmation of what we have already been told that the property in this area is very cheap to the rest of the UK. We are going to look at several new developments and plots of land for building etc.

By chance do you know any, as you say you live there.

Suggest you go back to whoever told you that this is cheap area and look for daylight between their ears.

If you are realy looking for cheap try the south wales valleys or parts of manchester or industrial lancashire.

Why do I get the feeling that some one is pulling our ****

I understand that there might be a big new motor racing development in the Bristol area to replace Thruxton. They hope to take F1 away from Silverstone.
That will surely push up prices and so this would be a good time to buy.

Thank you so much for advising about the new motor racing track. No wonder the prices are so cheap in Bristol and Somerset. We use to live fairly close to Brands Hatch and you could not give the properties away and we most certainly do not wish in anyway to live near that nightmare again.
