You were awesome, Bruxinha - very well done!
I asked the guys at Kiss to record the show if they could, but it looks like our man Jakobsen has gone one better with an .MP3 version for all to enjoy! (Is there going to be a link to this or can it be e-mailed to me, Steen?)
Hope Kiss FM becomes a regular fixture for you, Bruxy - am sure that tonights' callers
have benefitted from your advice, and if you get a regular radio slot then many more people will do so in the future.
Yesterday Carvoeiro, tonight the Algarve, tomorrow... the world!
(Cue the Witchy cackle!*)
* Thanks, NightRider!

Thanks guys and especially to Steen. His web site has a lot to answer for.
I have just got in from a rather nice Chinese meal to celebrate AFKA1's birthday...I have been sworn to secrecy regarding his age though.
The wine certainly helped loosen me up after a somewhat stressful afternoon/evening. I think I ate more than my fair share after being too nervous to eat all day...whoops.
I have to confess I did have sweaty palms before, during and after the show but Phil is a pro and really knows how to help you relax. I felt like I was in his sitting room having a coffee and a chat.
Anyhow, I really do appreciate all the support from forum members. Corny as it my sound, I just like to try to help people. Moving here is a big thing for many and I hate to see people get taken advantage of. I sure don't know everything. I mean I really only speak conversation Portuguese but if what I do know and the experiences I and others have had help other people out there...GREAT!
As you can imagine, trying to help people I tread on a few toes shall we say from time to time and have had some not so pleasant experiences, but I am quite prepared to do that if I feel it is necessary to protect people. Thanks once again to all of you. It is much appreciated.

Very impressive, Bruxy, you sounded as a real pro !!
Reception in Holland was loud and clear
First I thought you were the disk-jockey of this horrible music, but I forgot the different in time between Portugal and Holland
Unfortunately I could not sit down for the whole hour, so next time I will do the same as Steen.
See you in a few weeks at some thursday night.

We pulled up outside the the Kiss Radio Main Entrance in Albufeira around 5.30pm...after pulling Bruxy off by her legs which were covered in her best pair of woollen red and white striped stockings and telling her "it would not be so bad as the dentist" she finally, let go of the head rest attached to my broomstick's passenger seat......we stood on the pavement adjusting our respective black pointed hats and smiling at ourselves in my broomstick's wing mirror(s). That new green blusher...oh... we were so glad we had made it the night before and put it on...it gave just that special effect of allurement if you know what I mean girls
As we entered the reception area with our cloaks flying a rather nervous receptionist (can't think why the women was shaking at the sight of us
).. nervously offered us refreshments.....but to Bruxy's disappointment only coffee etc....she had already downed the whole bottle I had packed of Baileys
Bruxy sat there reading her notes and her normal beautiful green complexion now a Whiter Shade of Pale....she showed me her perspiring palms...which had got so bad that it reminded me of ALICE in Wonderland when she cried so much that she eventually, found herself swimming around in her own tears....and muttering I want to go home.
Phil came out of his Radio Booth......smiled and said hello...well lets go to Bruxy.....we looked at each other as though she were going into Gambo's recently mentioned Gladiator Pit and that we would never see each other again.....and then..................... a true and well deserved.............
STAR was Born....and it was not Judy Garland but our very own ......BRUXY.......... VERY VERY WELL DONE.....very very proud of you xx

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AFKA1. and a big thank you to you and your family (for afterwards) i.e. a lovely meal and evening.
Safe Journey home and that it won't be to long now (we hope) until you join the rest of us permanently out here in the Algarvian Sunshine.
