The more ammo for us the better!
Makes sense, but do be careful about using it too fast, you never know you may well have the holiday of a lifetime, and I am just guessing that your claim may be a bit thin if you have simply been moved around another pool, in another set of apartments, 250 meters from the original booking.

I really, really hope that you have a brill holiday and am pretty certain that you will, but it will really be in your best interests to go with an open mind, I hate to think that you may already have decided that your holiday is ruined :?

I hope you're right. It's just the principle of been moved to an unknown apartment block at the last minute that has made us mad/worried.

We feel abused by the tour op as it seems like they've know about the situation for ages. They've left it to the last moment to tell us leaving no time to do anything about it!

If it wasn't for some internet seraches and the comments of the good people here on this forum we'd have no idea where we were going.

Our appreciation again to all that have offered a view.

I can't vouch for what Carvoeiro is like in peak summer months because we usually go later or earlier in year but I wouldnt describe it as a place for singles who could be noisy?? Think some of the older members with families can make more noise - at least my kids do  Definitely would call it a family resort or for Couples.

Once you have been to Carvoeiro you won't be disappointed - very child friendly and just genuinely nice people altogether who welcome us back time after time 8) despite the demands our children put on them
Thanks for your reassurance, we hope our experience is matched by yours.

Like I've said before, it's the short notice and lack of real information offerred by the tour op that has worried us most. Visions of a TV series loom in our minds :-)

Thanks for everyone's comments and encouraging words.

Check back here in two weeks for the verdict :-)

Hi Dickbob

I have resurrected this topic from the bowels of page two as I am desperate to know how your holiday went after all the palaver, as I am sure Kteee and Trish are too.

I really hope that you had a wonderful time and that the change did not do you a dis-service. Also whether you too, fell in love with cvo as have so many of the rest of us.

Please, please let us know (even if it is all doom and gloom but fingers crossed)
