Hi Martin,

Going to bed now...really tired we have been working none stop with emails supplying information on all sort of problems.

Don't make to much noise with all that digging and switch the torches off when you have finished and take your bottles home with you. That includes you too maddi, ellie and anyone else whose down that hole with Martin

Just a little further ponderance on the following:-

Algarve Resident Oct 20 2005.Pg 31:

Extract: "The proposed new golf developements and talk of a new MGM Universal Studios, to be built in the Algarve has also added to the attraction of the area.
Therefore, Castle Properties has identified the need for a dynamic, assertive real estate agency to concentrate predominantly in and around the Silves area".

According to IMOPPI there are 25 registered Imobiliarias (estate agents) already in Silves, many well established....11 agencies prior to Castle's Registration Number and 4 agencies with very low 3 digit numbers...as if Silves needs yet another "dynamic one"

If the rumour is true together with the location already discussed and providing the inferstructures are really thought out FIRST together with the water problem, then I could be possibly persuaded on this one. Having said that the immediate area of housing would appear to be predominantly Portuguese and the would be land appears to have very little growing on it.....now am I being totally unfair to say that it would appear to me that our Portuguese cousins don't seem to concern themselves so much with noise and the need to sleep!!!! In otherwords would they mind a Theme Park etc on their doorsteps

Anyway if nothing else at the moment food for thought and as promised I will try and find out if this is just gossip....

Hi Martin,

Well if the rumour is true nobody is speaking at the moment!!!...so we shall just have to watch the media and keep our ears to the ground......yours being closer then most...I mean to say stuck down the tunnel you are presently digging....by the way have you got a licence for that

...and what is more are you sure you are going the right way

...because I keep seeing my garden beds move and someone popped up in our pool with "FLIPPERS & MASK" on... then disappeared..funny I thought

I believe one of the media rags mentioned some form of an annoucement in 2/3 weeks...all sounds very stange to me!

About 1 hr I ago during a telephone conversation I was advised that no one is aware of any plans submitted to Silves Camara with regard a Disneyland type project!

Also advised that the 2 new golf courses and complex, despite their launch in Ireland and accepting deposits, the developers do not have all the planning consents!

I was advised that the water is to be re-cycled...but also as pointed out to me of course a good supply of water has to be present in the first place!

Although, I have personally not seen it myself, I have been told that the President of Silves Camara is praising in a Magazine the developers...apparantly, she and her family have personally visited Ireland to inspect the quality of the developers work.

1)With respect Anony"mouse" either you have not read the posting or you simply do not comprehend the content and the size of the project concerned which will eat into miles and miles of very beautiful countryside.

2)Have you any idea of the misery and distress caused to owners who find out after their purchase, have brought illegale properties (that have been built onto without planning consent). Furthermore, more often than not the purchase dealt with by a lawyer. I trust that if you have built without planning consent that prior to selling you will do the decent thing and instruct a qualified architect to apply for legalisation. This will take around 9 months or discuss the matter with the would be purchaser and where possible come to an amicable agreement.

Fom Nightrider...... Someone who does not just sit on a forum making silly comments, but actually gets out there with others and does something to try and protect the environment and also to help others. What do you do mate to solve as you put it "problemoes"
