Glad you clarified that guest because I could also understand the sarcastic comment to the article I posted.

There is no real surprise that they have found illegal operators in the Algarve is there?

However, it is good to see that recently several initiatives by various Portuguese authorities have been taken to investigate things and action taken. People have a right to feel protected when they are dealing with companies etc and and up until now that hasn't been the case...far from it unfortunately.

I was expecting to find a list of all bonefide ami agents but no! help!

We can certainly confirm that things have tightened up in the lagoa area.

Our builders and architects have beeen frustrated by the delays as every piece of paperwork is check and double checked.

In the past they were able to clear ground and start the initial build once the project was approved but before the liscence was issued.

This is no longer the case.

Bad news for their cash flow but not for us the buyers as hopefully this will reduce potential problems.

Hi Newbie. I am in the UK at the moment but I haven't heard back from Imoppi about this matter, as well as one other I've written to them about. I was thinking of chasing them recently. I will do so on my return Newbie and let you know. Sorry, but things in Portugal, as I am sure you know, take forever sometimes.

I sent an e-mail, so I'll telephone next time. Get back to you late next week hopefully.
