MAYUMANIA

Post by martin »

Thankfully Alisuper were giving out free tickets to see the Mayumania show running at the Fabrica in Silves untill the end of the month...the tickets were also valid for the Barbie exhibition (very good) and the cork museum (also good)

The tickets can only be used monday to thursday and the show finishes at end of the month.... you have to go in before 8.30 pm

So what of the show...well it started at 10.30...pounding beat which seems to be the only noise in the show....various objects are banged (dustbin lids) steel drums, angle grinders showering sparks while scafffold poles are banged...yes bang bang...bang bang bang ..bang.....after an 1 and quarter running time for the show I wish we could hear something else..erm like music perhaps???.

as a piece of theatre,,..yes lighting, choreography all were good.....shame with the free tickets you have to sit 100 metres away .. as the place was only a third full I wish we all could have been moved nearer.

so yes if you get some free tickets ...do go....pity that our beloved Belinda king who put on the shows for three years (she does the Queen Mary show) can t come back...now her shows were 10 out 10.

as for Mayumania - if you can sit closer 7 /10 - sitting at the back Ill give it 5.

:D

nice to hear you can the drums from 5 km away..wonder what apartment owners think who live near by..but then as the Fabrica is owned by Alisuper which is owned by brother of President of Silves camara then what can they say??
