Wonderful. Aren't the English abroad just wonderful. Oh we had a lovely time. We had cider and toasted cheese sandwiches every day. Why not stay home, get lots of cider, bread and cheddar in and turn the central heating way up? Be just like abroad then wouldn't it?

PM - Sarcastic comments we can do without!! This was a general qustion regarding 'cider'as a refreshing drink as i cannot abide the local lager!! Also when we are on holiday we tend to eat more Portugese food then probably most as you call us 'BRITS' do!! Please do not tar us all with same brush!!!!

Not any more Biffa,twenty years ago it was the drink of winos..sold in flagons and about seven per cent proof..we used to call it loony soup..theres a great story told about a coalman trying to have a fist fight with his horse after a bellyfull,..then about 15 years ago along came the pr men ,changed the image compleatly, dropped the alchool content ,doubled the price and bingo increased the sales tenfold, in ireland its called BULMERS, in portugal its MAGNIERS..mark my words ,you won,t belive how popular this drink becomes Try a bottle or two its a really nice drink.
