Kteee thanks for the reply will stock up on water and basics at Plus then onto Intermarche for the deli counter. We do like the quality of the fresh food from Intermarche but have noticed over the years how expensive it is getting compaired to Lidl and Modelo suppose its 'us' holidaymakers.

To be honest I haven't been for a few weeks as we have had builders working on the house and it has been pretty hectic.

You should normally find either G, Roy or myself in Anteak from about 6.30 on a Thursday - I'm going to try to make it this week or next!

For a big shop we use the hypermarker at the algarve shopping centre in guia (just past the zoo marine on the n125).

This place is big with a huge choice, and last time I went reasonably priced.

intermarche for quickness

I thought that Plus was best because it wast much quicker to check out than Intermarche, the only down-side is you can't get the English papers from Plus.
PS. Super Bock was my favourite beer.
