haven't got a clue, they're well organized, but i don't think it's only the Lagoa gang that goes around villas nicking stuff, there's also the Poco Partido gang, if anyone's trying to sell you goods that look stollen, BINGO there's one of the gang leaders, just kkep your eyes and hears open....

i'm a regular in Carvoeiro, and i live in London....

Well, my shop was robbed and so was next door's in plain day light by two "posh" looking girls: my mobile, crystals and jewelry from next door...all went almost unoticed.

All it took was one to call me to the end of the shop for the other to steal the phone. Next door didn't even notice the theft until I told her about my case and she realised they'd been there too!!!

I'm actually in Alvor and this happened about two weeks ago. One of the girls said she was Romanian when she was distracting me at the back of the shop, but she could be from anywhere and put on an accent, couldn't she?

My sister who lives in Spain Has told me that they have been having the
same problems.. The Police are aware. But there has been an influx
of Eastern Europeans(Russians) over the last year. Seem to hang around together
in small groups. My nephew who is 14 was badly beaten up by one gang
turned out to be a case of mistaken identity.(The gang apologised)
