Flight time from Manchester
Flight time from Manchester
I am coming to CVO from Manchester on 07/08/2005
Flight dep 17:25 Arrival 20:45
Total flying time 3:20
Return on 21/08/2005
Flight dep 21:45 Arrival 00:30
Total flying time 2:45
I rang Monarch and a nice gentleman at a Call Centre could not give me a decipherable answer.
Anyone know why there is a discrepancy in the outward and inbounnd flying times

The schedule has nothing to do with flying time (i.e. time in the air).
They take into account taxiing time, which at some airports can actually eb quite significant, and they also add a fudge factor based on the airport infrastructure to allow for delays and vaguaries of ground control.
This way, having put in all these fudge factors, they can take off 30 mins late, and just before landing the captain can announce a perfect on-time arrival, and increase their league table scores.
Cynical or what ?

I have to go back as I live there!
As regards iffy football teams, they seem to be hell bent on self-destruction.
City - Shaun W.P gone
Barton falling out with Dunne and anyone else in the vicinity
United - Keane falling out with Ferguson
Van Nistleroy falling out with Ferdinand
Ferdinand falling out with the fans (and vice versa)
Fans falling out with the owners
Not much to look forward to !

Hope you don't fly Thomas Cooke, delay going and double delay returning, in total took us 15 hours to come home.
Nice place, need to be more customer focussed though
