New treatment plant

I read in this weeks resident of the plans to build a new treatment plant ( much needed ).
My concern is will this be in a residential area and what form will it take.

Underground tanks etc probably not a problem, but if it is a surface treatment system associated smells, flies etc will be a major problem.

Hope we are worrying about nothing but info would be appreciated.

Understand that is will be somewhere nr Boavista, as this is a residential area and a lot of development is planned, where will it go ???

Yes, I too heard it was in Boavista. Bit worrying - we're downwind! Anyone know exac tly where?

You can see the work being started on the field on the left hand side as you approach the Santa Maria statue.

Does anyone know of any links that can be used to find our more information regarding this treatment plant? We are considering buying in the area so would like to know of any further problems in Boavista.
