Up to now you have not been very lucky on the holidays (and so on). I really hope this will change soon end I wish you and your family a very good holiday later this year!

Lesley Jean. Sorry to her what you say. You do seem to be between a rock and a hard place on this. If the tests do become an issue out here again I can only suggest that if you have to see doctor privately you ask whether the actual tests can be done under the E111 procedure or whatever the EU reciprocal NHS system is called.

I have been having blood tests at Barlavento hospital in Portimao (the new public hospital) for some months and I have found the staff in the hosital do dia where this was done to be very well motivated and supportive. Most of the nursing staff were young and spoke good English when I could not find the right word in Portuguese.

Hi Steve, thanks for your concern, will try the E111 route for the bloods, and see what happens. To be honest I really don't mind having to pay for it it is just finding a good doctor/clinic that is my priority really. Can't put a price on my daughters health.

my experience is that the centro saude sends you to a lab. From the lab you have to take the results of the tests back to the centro saude. So for 3 times I had to wait a long time. After that time I went to a private doctor and I got the results within minutes.
