Well..I only wish we could transport some of the wet stuff over to the Iberian peninsula...after a rather lovely weekend...we are now suffering torrential downpours and strong winds with it
But strangely enough ..I've seen on the news that the Southern authorities are asking for water restrictions cos UK has suffered 2 of its driest ever winters....
The 'world' weather seems odd..yet not many seem to be worried by it..till the day comes when we turn on the tap ..and no water flows..

funny enough we got a water restriction in london, and it's pissing down all the time.
i wonder how it must be in portugal, with all them green fields full of people hiting balls with a stick, (ONLY JOCKING
)
i would believe that the restriction will be during the day when it's really hot ie: showers, watering plants, car washing etc....

I think it's a little more serious than that actually. Our well had to be dug down a long way to find any water at all. Luckily they did find some, otherwise we wouldn't have any water at all.

Wow.. based on the levels in that reservoir, I would guess that restrictions will be imposed a lot earlier than Autumn. With the main tourist season still to come, surely normal output cannot be maintained? I know that desalination is expensive in terms of infrastructure and processing costs, but longer term it has to be considered doesn't it?
