OOOOOh Fish finger sandwiches. Do you love them or what, with lots of vinegar on all mashed up, you know Jamie Oliver even has a recipe for them in one of his books!

I cant believe you've never heard of skate nobs ! You know how with skat you tend to get the 'wing' the fanned out bits on the side of the fish- well nobs are the bit running down the middle of the fish which is big chunks of lovely firm white fish- a bit like monkfish but slightly stronger flavour-they used to do them in the fish and chip shops in tyneside but not much seen now.

I once brought cod cheeks from a fishmonger in Lincoln....I thought they were pulling my leg to be honest :lol:
