tapas bar recommendation
Somehow I don't think you are quite right there. You trying to say that they add the Omega 3 oils to the can? These essential oils are present in the fish whether they are fresh or canned.minx wrote:Tinned fish is thought to be healthier for you than fresh and includes Sardinhas,Cavala = mackeral, anchovies and others as they are rich in Omega 3 fish oils
P.S. They also contain Omega 6 as well
I dont know anything about these oils except they are the right sort of oils? So you are saying they are there in fresh fish then why are health police always going on about tinned fish being esseential to our health If you are right and you seem knowledgeable on this, why bother to eat the tinned stuff?
Have I opened a can of worms here?

Omega 3 'oils ' are essential fatty acids, which means that the body cannot make them. They are found primarily in fatty fish. People would recommend canned fish because it so difficult to find the fresh variety, except perhaps for salmon.
I wouldn't suggest you open a can of worms, except perhaps to use to catch the fish

Have not tried this particular tapas bar in CVO but be aware Portuguese tapas is a miilion miles away from Spanish tapas. If youre looking for Meatballs, Kidneys in sherry Tortilla get in your car and drive 100kms accross into Spain and have the real thing.Perhaps one day an enterprising Spaniard with Tapas skills might just see there is a market for this delicious snack
The Portuguese word for tapas is petisco
Have you ever tried a petisco? I think you'll find they are far superior to many things served in Spain.
Try moelas, pipis, caracóis, carapaus alimados, orelha de porco a coentrada, conquilhas, salada de polvo, salada de ovas, caranguejo do rio, sapateira, sardinha frita, moreia frita, polvo seco, berbigão, ameijoa a Bulhão Pato the list is endless.
You probably won't find anywhere in Carvoeiro serving these dishes, but there are several places in Lagoa
