Marmite is available in the Intermache and in the Loja Fresca near the Post office. Price Eur 3,95. But I'm still not convinced of the activity. This week is my test period

A very ancient house remedy: slice up 1 lemon in thin layers and put them in a soup plate (not a bowl) with a cup of vinagar. You can also add some cloves. Mosquitos really hate the smell, as you may most likely do too, but it's really effective. I would also suggest mosquito nets offcourse.

If you do get bitten, i strongly recommend Benaderma gel (available from chemist in Carvoeiro). I suffered quite badly a few years ago and it was a life saver!

Avon was my original suggestion but no one seemed to like that idea! If you want the specific product its from the Skin so Soft range and its the Soft and Fresh fragrance that mossies don't like.

Bloody So Soft Skin range??!!! This gets worse! I dont believe it,you lot a bunch of tarts or what? Youll be telling me you wear makeup next!!!!!I can just see you sitting there getting all excited for the ring of the bell and 'Avon calling'!! My wife uses it, and it seems to be common knowledge amongst many of the women here. I'd rather use that than cover myself in chemicals.
