Removal companies

Hi

Can anyone help?

We have been looking at a couple of removal options.
1. with Aim removals you book per m2 in a removal van back to Portugal. Your furniture and belongings are labelled.
2. or 2 you have your own container

Can anyone who has moved from the UK give any advice please as to the best option, or recommend a company they have found to be reliable?

I wouldnt think that many people have experience of a range of companies but "speaking as we found" - AIM provided excellent service at a price almost 40% lower than our first UK quote (for 14 cu metres 2 years ago)

As I import all my kitchens for my shop from UK I have been using Direct Transport in Albufeira for almost 2 years now.
Very reliable, never any damage and friendly people.
They have a depot in Handover and Albufeira .
Can recommend them highly ..

Well I’m interested in this “have your own container” option: something I’d not considered. I assume these containers go by boat (?)
We have a lot of stuff and it may need to be in storage for a few months. I’m thinking it would be simpler to keep it in the box and unload it once (?)

We have recently used a company called New Concept who I could not fault - they accomodated us at short notice, arrived when they said they would and their price was excellent.
