There you go again. Insult after insult and nothing else of any substance. And to justify your existance you claim that the locals are quite happy to be surrounded by people there who 'like the place', which of course is you and nobody else. Hey come on now, where's this reasoned debate?

And BTW, are the locals into all this ecological stuff you rant on about, or do you turn a blind eye to the things they get up to?

Now, now guys don't be mean. My mate, the arachnoid, is a very well balanced individual. He has a chip on both shoulders.

He means well, has all our interests at heart so be patient with his unconventional turn of phrase. If that fails to calm you down, then tell him to F**k off

Any time tit head, I need a new door mat, and I have a little thing to part your hair with. Low fore head, close set eyes, knuckles scraping the floor,I can picture you now. I don't need any help, I've dealt with tossers like you all my life, make sure you get the right bloke though, I'm 6ft 4" 16 stone and have a bigger back bone than you. Be seein ya twat.

Why did I assume spider was short bloke - is it only me that tends to find little guys are the most aggressive (bit like dogs really) and the bigger guys tend to be more laid back (less to prove maybe?)

Hi Graham. I must admit to being a bit laid back about things, but when mine or any ones freedom of speech is threatened my back goes up. Of course those who want to play golf, or any other activity have the right to do so, and without being threatened, this doesn't stop my right to express my opinions as others do about thier opinions. I believe in protest which is the right of all. Plenty of folk on this forum have what they feel is a justified POP!! at me, many times a number of you at the same time, great debate and sometimes good fun. But when an idiot and his army threaten me I will always invite them to try. :x :x I must confess that some of the things I have posted can be quite annoying for which I expect and get the usual replies.
My dear mum was only 5ft 1" but what a terror. :

I'm pleased I don't live next door to spider, but he does have a point. Someone else said 'All golf courses in the algarve produce there own water'.

This is clearly stupid. I assume the writer meant that they have boreholes? If you suck hard enough on your borehole, you deprive your neighbours of water. This has happened frequently in the Algarve. Plus the fresh water you draw off can be replaced by sea water, even if you are quite a way inland and that really spoils things for other people using the same supply.

Just for your info Graham, and speaking as a short bloke myself, I don't think its a matter of having to prove ourselves. I think any aggresive tendency I might have would have more to do with the sort of patronising comments you are making. I believe I'd be reacting - if I'm conforming to type I believe it's a type you create. These sort of casual observations are an everday part of my life and if I respond I'm classed as aggressive. I imagine you wouldn't feel comfortable in stereotyping black people or women in this way. Now, if you were to tell me something you've achieved through work or study I would happily acknowledge that. Your apparently innate sense of superiority because you happen to be taller than me isn't logical. It's a chance of nature and nothing more. I wish I was taller but there's no sense in that either - it's just the way people like you make me feel. It would do you good to experience it.
