Does the ATM at CGD in town have English instructions. If not what are the key Portuguese words I need to know please

I think when you put a UK card in the machine it switches to English instructions.

Quite correct Kteee, the first , or second screen asks you which language you would like to use.

t what about a CGD card. What are the instructions in Portuguese?

If you use a Portuguese card you need to know 'levantamentos' for cash withdrawal, 'pagamentos' if you are paying a bill, and 'consultas' to see transactions on the account.

Anular - cancel

Quer receber um talão - Do you want a receipt?

Anything else you can think of that you might need?

Red screen - "Lamentamos, mas neste momento não é possível efectuar o seu pedido"

means: the lines are busy, sod off.

Red screen - "O saldo da sua conta so lhe permite um levantamento de €xx"

means: your account balance will only allow a withdrawal of €xx
