Bit late saying we do not want Schummaker and his friends, I have heard he has had a couple of properties near Pintadinho Beach for some time

Taxi driver bringing us to Cvo. from airport was driving quite fast - he told the kids that he always picks Schumacher up when he visits his Villa - he even brings his dog.

Schummaker ..never catches a Taxi from the airport I assure you.....I know the guy .......At one race (His own Karting Track in Germany) he even employed a double to divert attention so he could get out.....otherwise he gets mobbed.

Can anyone confirm exact location of race track as I believe it was to be located in Pereira, which is north of hotel Penina. Is this correct.

Yes Exactly....Just before you drive into Pereira (about a mile) you will see a dirt road on your right...drive up there and you can drive all around the Motocross track as it is now......the car park and Int Kart track will be to the south and the rest....spreads in all directions....to the N E and West.....
( My little house is on the peripheral.....Fantastic....I love Motor Racing !!! )

Thanks for your reply. Are you approaching Pereira from road to Monte Canelas, then returning left wiith restaurant Fonte de Pedra on your left and it's quite a way down that road or are you coming from the Mex. Grande? We have a house in Monte Canelas and were very worried to read about this - you must be desolate. You go to these areas because they are quiet and peaceful and then look what happens!! Is is definitely taking place? Would appreciate any further updates on this.

Going North from Mex Grand......Its interesting reading all the comments because you will note that most posts support this track because they all live around Carvoeiro ...long way away...but everybody in this area (Non Portuguese) are against it.......Natural I suppose __I just find that the majority of humans dont give a damm unless it's in their back yard ..and then they suddenly become very 'green party ish..'...anyway they dont have the licenses yet but they are very close to obtaining them....The local Portuguese population are very supportive because it will bring in a lot of local money which I understand.......they wont get an F1 race for years...if ever..but they will have all the other classes and F1 testing..plus Bike races etc. There are certain EU laws reference noise and other pollution which they say they will meet and intend to lower the area and surround it by Noise absorbant material...and thousands of trees....The problem is ..we know how they keep to EU rulkes ????
