Seems just like yesterday she told me she was ill and going for treatment. Ritta was a great lady, rest in peace

Did Rita work in the bar beside the ice cream shop at one time. And did she play a lot of tennis?

I think I remember her now. English lady played a lot of tennis and kept fit. Not that old really - in her fifties.
Sad.

I am afraid not guest. Rita was Scandanavian ( from Finland I think) and without being ungallant was somewhat older than that.

She lived near the VDM golf clubhouse and was often to be found behind the reception desk. She was a very friendly lady who loved to talk. I always used to allow plenty of time to book in for Golf when she was on duty because she invariably had lots to say and did not let you escape easily!.

As I have not played golf for nearly a year I only saw her occasionally around the village and I did not realise that she was seriously ill. She was certainly a character who will be missed.
