Rocha Brava

Post by Dot »

Hi,

We are coming to Carvoeiro on Saturday for the first time. Has anybody stayed at Rocha Brava? How far is it into centre of Carvoeiro?

Really looking forward to our holiday

Rocha Brava is a lovely development, we have stayed there many times over the last 16 years. There is a small supermarket, a restaurant and a snack bar on site, with several others within walking distance.

It is a fair distance from the centre of the village - I know of some hardy souls who have walked it, but I wouldn't. Going down to the village is ok, but coming back is uphill all the way with no pavement for long stretches. By car it should take you about 10 minutes.

Have a great time

:D i agree with ktee, we also have been coming for many years and converted several friends too. the restaraunt on site is a bit pricey and perhaps not the quickest service around but there are plenty of others to choose from. reception will order you a taxi to carvoeiro and they come very quickly, costing about 4 euros i think, you can then pick up one for the return journey easily from the taxi rank. there should also be the free shuttle bus which goes from reception 3 or 4 times a day. you will have a great time - just beware the sea at centiannes beach, it is now very rocky due to the repair works done earlier in the season ( i have the bruises to prove it !) have fun , julia
