Planning Costs
Could some kind soul please give me an indication of the likely costs involved in seeking and getting planning permission to make alterations and an extension to our property in Cvo.
The extension size is approx 40 sq ft and is all on one level.
I have just received a quotation and I suspect it is in some other currency other than the Euro - Turkish Lira perhaps.
The work involved is primarily internal plus an additional bedroom being built. This does not encroach on anybody's boundary so as I see it there would be Architect's fees for the drawings and submitting them plus an engineer's report - or am I missing the point?
All feedback will be gratefully appreciated.

For a new build of 300 square metres I paid architect's fees of about €6000 which included all the work to get building permission and the licence plus overseeing of the building work. Other quotes from the usual well established archtects were some €4000 more.
My building licence cost €1800 but the cost depends on the area of build plus the location. Some sites seem to attract cheaper rates than others.
When I put a 50 metre extension on my current property the building licence cost €500. I have no separate figure for architect's fees because I paid an all inclusive price for the build.

Thank you for taking the time to answer my request. I deliberately kept the amount I had been quoted 'quiet' when I raised the subject - half thinking that the price of €14,900 I had been quoted was there or there abouts.
The quotation started at €14,900 last Thursday - an 'error' reduced it to €8,900 and they can probably do 'something' about the €1,400 of IVA!
The anticipated total cost of the building work is €60,000 and on that basis the administrative costs are 15% - before anybody lifts a shovel?
Your numbers have been very helpful and have certainly made me rethink my plans.
Thanks again.
