Yes it is - they are painting the front of it today. Haven't been in since it changed hands but planning to.....

Shame about that kteee..lovely little cat....I wonder? If theres still a possibilty..a faint hope.....they do turn up often after quite a long period..
Sam.Ive been in Hemmingways since change..seemed same..served by a charming friendly Irish lady working there..
The owner Willick has returned to Norway and has rented it out..

hi all---when we first went into hemmingways two years ago there was lovely music playing- sort of soft jazz

and it was all mellow and stuff then we went in last august and the music was really loud and heavy and the drinks took ages , there just didn't seem to be anything nice about the place at all!!!! Hope it turns out nice, and hope to meet some of you at Easter , looking for flights tonight!!!! Ellie hope you had a good christmas we were in cvo and it was fab, Bacalao ,the lot!

Hi April...nice to see you around once more!

I went into Hemmingways a few times on autumn holiday..but it was usually quite late..on way home I used to have drink in there with German girl friend..so there wasn't that many people around.and music was turned down..
I wasn't there for Christmas..only from Dec28th..got home last Tuesday..
it was very nice apartment (M.Dourado)..and I enjoyed it..sun each day..but as you know quite chilly at night..so was glad of logfire!

Very quiet though...but have quite a lot of friends there so Im always happy to be there........ellie

p.s. whens Easter?
P.P.S. Did you send me an e-mail April....with attachment? Only I couldn't dowmnload it

hi ellie-Happy New Year--i cant remember if i sent you an e mail. Good friday is march 25. Business is non existant! My furniture including my massage table is still in the removal van somewhere in britain-scotland at the last count! So i'm living off love and the help of my my new boyfriend ! dont know if you read a previous posting that i did- but after all the family were in cvo in aug, dad was poorly with his tummy- came back to england - found he had cancer and died within 6 weeks- it shook me so much --i'd spent 5 weeks in england nursing him and in the meantime met up with an old schoolfriend whom i hadnt seen since i was 11 (31 years) we fell in love quickly and i went back to jersey packed everything up and moved back to england !! Shocked ? I am ! He's a pe teacher so luckily he could work in the Algarve too if i still want to move out there- he's quite keen! We could make a good team with the massage, refelxology, etc too, what do you think ?I'm filling my time learning beauty therapy and indian head massage at college over here. Have you heard how Debs is doing with her business out there(yoga, aromatherapy etc)- she seems to be ok, I'm looking forward to meeting up with her around easter-will you be there? Keep warm, speak soon x

Dear April....so very very sorry to hear about your Dad...no I didn't read about it (think maybe it was when I was on hol there last Sept?)
What a shocking and sad thing to happen to you & family..and I send my sincerest (tho belated) condolences to you all..
But how nice that youve found love again

..sounds like youd both make a very good team to me

Good luck with your classes..Im sure youll do very well..and if youre thinking of moving out to CVO..again I wish you every success....
nothing in life is guarranteed (except death& taxes!) ..so if its your dream..
go for it...one of the worst things in life is 'regrets'..you know?..wished id done this..wished id done that?

How can anybody who is renting a bar himself, rent it out to others ?! .... I think he just disappeared without the lovely new Staff knowing that the bar will be in the hands of the real owner in September again. But I wish you all the luck in the world anyway - you just made business with the wrong man ...

i can confirm mr hemingway is a man of mystery, but i wont hear a bad word said about him, me and my 5 mates often used to go to his bar and drink with him from 2 til 4 in the morning and he was very accomodating and used to make us food if we wanted it, dodgy but great man, he will be missed!!
