Cheap phonecalls FROM Portugal---could this be the answer

We all know about call18866.co.uk for 2p/min calls TO Portugal from UK. But take a look at www.call2.com. You register the number/s you are calling FROM and set up UKP10 worth of credit. You then call a UK number from Portugal which hangs up after one ring so you are not charged by PT telecom. They then call you back and you enter the number you wish to call. Call are billed at 3p/min. No setup charges, no minimum spend. You can also pre book the calls from their website, to call you back after a couple of minutes delay if you are using the same line for internet access. Will try it next week. If anyone has any tried it already would be interedsted to hear.

They do work. There's quite a few of these call back numbers in North America to call back to Canada and the U.S.. Saves you a lot of money if you are travelling about the world. I haven't seen the one where you can prebook when you are on the internet, however, that sounds good if you have a dialup modem.

Interesting.......

This is similar to Swift call...but with that you just predial your account number...then the number. There is no ringing back or delay

Is there that equiv in Portugal?
