the suffering of people who who are kidnapped and forced into prostitution has nothing to do with "a sore point"..those who support such places where these happen are indeed contributing to the continuation of this trade.

also if you saw some of the street walkers of portimao who are very evidently on hard drugs which seem nowadays to go with aids..you might alos feel sorry that a woman on the streets was but a few years before a happy little girl skipping with her friends and singing...by supporting this you are also supporting the contuination of the drugs trade with all its evil

perhaps pavlov poster who try going to the higher moral ground..from there you might see things more clearly

Very well said guest! My sentiments exactly. Im sure that you & me are in noway speaking from high moral ground but thinking of,as you have said so clearly, the poor souls who end up forced into these positions in order not only to feed themselves but their drugs supply& often resulting in HIV /Aids !
But the topic is strip clubs in cvo I think?This is a bit different and I should imagine the girls who work there its done under their own volition?

...Sorry ..I can tell you that I have a few friends ??.......in the Stripo world in Carvoeiro and Portimao.....( I mean the girls that work there)......Dont know any without at least a Merc Convertable and I wish I had the money they have to wine and dine anytime they wish...... so pls dont give me all the BS about sadness and pain......the ones I know come from mainly Brazil..are making a fortune.....send a lot home live the life of old riley......I have asked so many of them about their awful existance.....They just laugh and tell me they are making about £60 K a year...or 40k if they only work part time.....( 3 hours a day) ................I work as a painter here ..full time and earn about 8k a year.........my God...I wish I were a woman with a pretty face.......So don't worry about the majority of these girls...They are working hard and making many times over what you earn.......Algarve is one of the best places to do this because overheads are low and the Portuguese are kind and understanding.-...and ther are dozens of clubs waiting for them...............I really think that the people that post all this stuff............Have no idea.......about the real wold

Yes ...very true... (the Merc is a bit over the top I think.).but at the end of the day this oldest proffession will always be there as long as the punter is prepared to pay for such things.....and as the ladies of the night get older and more desperate they tend to use drugs etc and spiral down that slippery road.....I have also met the odd working lady in Algarve...and yes they do come across as happy and care free.....but I wonder if they ever had much of a choice back home in Brazil or wherever...(Russian mainly nowdays)......Pretty sad really...but it is true to say that the Algarve is now absolutely full of these girls and clubs alike.....Supply and demand .......Oh Brother indeed..

Having recently returned from a holiday in cvo, i would just like to say. Because it was very late in the year, there was nowhere late to have a drink after the obligatory restaurant meal. Even the hotel bar closed at midnight.

Myself and girlfriend went to Adega it was quite quiet in there. The staff and people didnt make my wife feel awkward and were friendly and courteous to us. We sat out of clear sight of the main stage at the bar and whilst expensive, it was pleasant. The pole dancers did their bit, but in the time we were there (till about 2am) the girls didnt do anything apart from remove their clothes and the usual associated gyrations. Knickers were removed at the last bit of their act, so nothing more than nudity was apparent. A couple of the girls spoke to us and were friendly and polite. One even suggested my wife might keep her handbag close to her as some of the customers steal.

My view was obscured but the odd scratch of the neck while she wasnt looking revealed that the girls had good figures and seemed to enjoy what they do. I saw no reason to feel sorry for them and after all said and done, they are there because there is a demand for them. In the event that no one turned up, paid their entrance fees and drinks, the place would soon be bust. I guess its about supply and demand. If there is a high concentration of strip clubs and prostitutes, that can only mean there is a high demand!!
