After Wedding Party Recommendations

Hi all, we are getting married in Suites Alba in April 2017. We will be having the ceremony and reception in the hotel. Many of our guests are staying in Suites Alba and a few staying in hotels in Carvoeiro. We were hoping to have a little get together the day after the wedding, providing finger food for the guests, at a low cost. We received a quote from Boneca Bar of 26euro per person plus £3500 for booking out the restaurant. Considering we will have 50-60 guests, this would work out much more expensive than we had hoped.
Can anyone recommend any other restaurants that would be willing to accommodate our party at a cheaper cost?

The Barca Velha and Fatacil restaurants (both in Fatacil, Lagoa) have function rooms which would probably be about € 3500 cheaper than your quote.

Food would be good but the rooms are a bit cold (atmosphere) and would need some decoration.

The Baia Cristal Hotel (manager Paulo Dias 282 358 601) has nice sea views but would probably charge a room fee albeit nowhere near the fee you were quoted.

Tasquinha on Monte Carvoeiro cater for weddings - have a look at their facebook page - there,s a photo of them set up for the actual ceremony. They have indoor restaurant, outside dining and separate bar area and I'm pretty sure the can also cater for events elsewhere.

In our opinion the restaurant we would recommend is Taste, their attitude towards customers is second to none.
Friendly and efficient plus lovely setting.

Good friend of mine had his daughters wedding "do" at Taste and they did a really good event, place was closed for the night for their event.
