At the moment it's not too bad at least we can still watch corrie and emmerdale albeit the next day on Itv2 hd for the time being and most sky channels are still here as is more4 hd just watched the f1 race from barain live on sky sports

Let's see what the next satellite change brings but there will always be some English channels to watch

There is one cell at Carvoeiro and another at Vale de Milho...

What about cable - Cabovisão - speed does not depend on where you live, as long as the cable get to your house...

And mobile 4G? (I guess you also have to be near a antena...)
Anyone know what sort of speed you can get 8 - 10 km from the nearest cell? Our 4g has dropped to .5 mbps ! So we are thinking about Meo adsl.

FYI, I am on Nos, with two Routers, with SIM cards, for although I only live two km's from Carvoeiro, we can not get Cable or a decent phone line connection.
Trust me, I have tried everyone over the past year and they are the only ones that can give me a decent download speed.
Usually, I get between 20-30 Mgbs download, but every year, when the Tourists are connected, for free! My download drops to between 5 and .3!
I have had many discussions with Nos about this and all they say is that they will be updating the system. I don't believe that any of the Internet providers can cope with the exceptional demand from our Visitors.
VPN on your tablet is not possible as the Goverment has blocked such connections.
Good luck and enjoy sitting under the shade, reading a book until September 1st!
