freesat

Post by Sheila »

Found this in the FAQ. Surely this is out of date?

"Freesat Enjoy all the same channels as Freesat in the UK. No subscription required and no viewing card required. Systems are cheap & easy to buy for under €100 (eg from Leroy Merlin) - you can buy them at Lidl in UK and took it out in hand luggage. You will need a 1.3 mtr or bigger dish. A 1.3 mtr dish in Ferragudo installed by Silva & Sintra-Telecomunicações Lda in Lagoa can be supplied and fitted for around €160."

Ok, have a 2 mtr dish, I used to use for Sky and Freesat. Both are now, except for a couple of channels useless.
If you are getting all the Channels on your Freesat, did they move the dish as they were both originally connected to the same Satellite?
Would be interested to know as to what Channels you are receiving. If good, I will start using my box again!

Have they boosted the signal from the satellite? I will check on my sky box that I am using as a freesat device, but I don't think so. I thionk it's and old advert too Sheila.

Fools gold!!! To receive Freesat you need an aerial tuned to the UK terrestrial channels!!
