Walk Monday March 28th March Benagil-Marinia
This is a circular walk from Benagil through the wooded glades to Marinia Bay, and then back along the clifftops to Benagil.
This is a slightly shorter walk than usual, but promises some of the most spectacular clifftop views along the Algarve coastline.
There are some small scrambles along the clifftop, so I'll grade this an occasional 2.
Meet for a 10 o'clock departure from the carpark opposite the O'Littoral restuarant at the far side of Benagil Bay.
Directions from Carvoeiro:
Leave Carvoeiro going up Restaurant Hill and follow the road all the way to Rocha Brava.
Just as you arrive at Rocha Brava take the left turn towards Benagil, and follow the signs to Benagil.
In Benagil go down the steep hill to the bay, and then back up the hill on the far side.
O'Littoral is just around the bend at the top of the hill.
Walking sticks can be useful along the clifftop.
Bring water and your camera.
There are no cheap restaurants around Benagil so I suggest that those of us that wish to lunch go to the restaurant Ponte de Encontro at ADM in Carvoeiro.
I would appreciate the names of those who will be joining the walk, and also those who wish to lunch so that I can book a table.
All of Geoff's usual provisos apply!
