Pool cover&reel

Post by shaz1967 »

Hello fellow members, has anybody recently purchased a pool cover & reel & can recommend any suppliers as I am contemplating buying one as i have a pool heater but no cover so using the pool heater without a cover is a waste of time as all the heat will be lost without a cover

For the cover I can give you a uk supplier but shipping is an issue - someone on the forum did this exercise earlier this year and got a nearly comparable quote in PT so hopefully they will respond to you. For the roller the prices in PT are high I would suggest http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SWIMMING-POOL ... SwpDdU50cE the company is in Belgium and will ship to PT.

Another thing - the leading edge pull system is very necessary for the cover

try avon scientific from glouscester , www.avonsci.co.uk

they supplied and shipped full roller , cover and all bits that were needed , a lot less than i could find in the algarve ,the web site is easy to look at all priced so you see what is on offer . by the way they supply a few retailers down here !

the girls there are very help full and know what they sell .

good luck let us know how you get on .

Hello fellow members thank you for all your replies/advice, I bought the pool cover & reel from the Uk & had it shipped over. I have a guy who does all my jobs around the villa & I was going to ask him to fit the pool cover & reel but I am thinking that it maybe better to get a proper pool guy to fit it as the cover has to be cut & shaped to the pool as it is not a standard shape. Has anybody had done a similar project please?
