Public transport services

Does any one know if we can get to Ferragudo from CVO by public transport or if indeed we can get the little train but only one way? Many thanks

There is no public transport to Ferragudo. Only option is a taxi, if 4 of you not too expensive but the big problem is getting a taxi home, as no fixed taxi rank there.

We went from CVO by taxi worked out cheaper than getting the wee train . Any off the restaurants will call you a cab to get back home or alternatively arrange with taxi that takes you to return at a certain time . We also went by train once and stayed after the train had returned and got taxi home .

Wee train only goes couple of times a week during the day and is a return ticket. Taxi from CVO to Ferragudo reasonable but whilst restaurant/bar will call for a taxi we had a really looooooooonnnnnnnngg wait for a taxi (OK was couple of years ago) and was 'out of season'. Best get mobile number of taxi driver for retrun trip.

Many thanks to all of you, am now equipped with all info to make for a very nice day out!! I was beginning to doubt myself when looking into this - or more to the point my husband was!!!!!!

Bus service from Portimao to Ferragudo only as far as I can make out. A few of us have taken taxis to Fim do Mundo and just phoned the driver who dropped us off to pick us up for the return leg. From memory it was approx €20 for single journey.
