Boardwalk extention

My Daughter was jogging along the clifftop boardwalk this morning and met two guys from Lagoa Council - they were surveying and measuring the structure and examining the piling. As my daughter speaks some Portuguese (and being nosey) she asked what was happening. They said that there are plans to dramatically extend the walkway at that point - where it stops by the fishing area - and to build it out over the sea at the level where the fishing occurs - rather like a pier. They said this would allow boats to be moored and to run sightseeing visits around the coast. The present trips from Portimao come out to the caves further along by Benagil and it would provide an ideal opportunity for CVO based visitors who don't have easy access by car to Portimao. What a great idea to further expand the tourism in CVO.

Don't see any reason why can't extend right across to North Africa really.

That sounds a great idea. We walked along it yesterday and it was really busy. I hope I can fish off the pier too if it gets built. Carvoeiro is really on the up with these type of enhancements and new supermarkets.

Don't see any reason why can't extend right across to North Africa really.

Or to the South Pole, we would be able to cool down during the Summer,but I would imagine getting the wood for a job that size would be a problem.
