Parcel Delivery - UK to Algarve
Yesterday I ordered a Knee Pflexx muscle activator for my torn cartilage at 2pm from http://www.pflexx.com. At 3pm they called me to ask for some measurements to ensure I had ordered the correct size. At the end of the conversation I said I would like him to e-mail me the tracking number so I could track the progress but said there was no rush as I expected the item would probably arrive at the beginning of next week. He said he was sure I would get it before then. As you can see from the tracking below the item was delivered to me in Caramujeira, Lagoa less than 23 hours after it was collected from the supplier in Jarrow, Tyne & Wear!!!
I know there has been quite a bit of discussion on the Forum about mail and parcel deliveries and the difficulties some people have experienced so Fed Ex seem to be abnle to provide a 1st class service!!
10 out of 10 for Fed Ex.

Re: Parcel Delivery - UK to Algarve
You have to be very careful with FedEx - they say 3-5 days so we once arranged to have 2 boxes picked up on the Friday before leaving on the monday so that they hopefully would arrive early the next week. As we arrived at our house at 1pm on the monday the fedex guy was just getting back into his van to leave!! - the two parcels actually arrived before us!! great service. Get very good quotes on both fedex, TNT, and even royal mail via a couple of web sites - transglobal express and Interparcel.

Lucky you.
I had a small parcel delivered by them once and the driver had it on his Van for five days as he had no Sat Nav and could not find me. Besides the fact that I had phoned them advising where I was in Areias dos Moinhos and left my mobile number. I eventually went to their depot and collected it.
On another a case, they had it out for delivery for three days, I eventually met the driver in Intermarche.
Everyone else can find the Villa bar them, useless.

you remind me of a scenario we were put through; we had a parcel coming from Faro which we needed quickly & someone suggested FedEx which seemed like a good idea, I had this fantasy of it coming down the A2 on a motorbike.DVBRO wrote:Lucky you.

when it didn't arrive I contacted Fedex, 'it's on it's way to our depot', 'oh, ok'
when it still didn't arrive I contacted again, 'it's in our depot', 'but you've had it a day'
it turned out the 'depot' was in Paris, everything sent in Europe had to go through the central hub.
long story short we got it after 3 days & I had to meet the guy in Vale do Milho clubhouse because he didn't know anywhere. I could have walked to Faro & back in the time it took to get it
