I consider the pastime you and others like you carry out in the name of sport to be extremely vulgar, cruel and gutless. I always hope that when humans have virtually become extinct because of the way they have abused their right to rule
Please do not assume that I am for hunting. I am for the peoples right to choose. Freedom of choice. We are a democracy after all..even if the politicians forget this.
I object strongly to a bunch of mindless politicians taking issue on a subject and drafting in emergency measures to push a bill through, such as this, when there are old people in Britain, yes Britain starving, Pensioners who fought in world wars to ensure our liberty robbed of their pensions and living in Poverty. They are left in Old Peoples homes in disgusting conditions without dignity, many spending their lst few yrs drugged up to the eyeballs because they cannot get the attneion they need...its easier to keep them that way... They are just an inconvenience to the younger generation. (No I am nowhere near pensionable age)
The state of our health service, the hospital waiting lists, that they manipulate.
The fact that English people have less rights in their own country than the constant flow of people from other countries who come here looking for work, handouts and free housing.
This is what politicians should be focusing on.
Is it the concept of hunting in general you object to...or is it the priviledged horaay henry element? Incidentally do you include fishing in as cruel and gutless?
In conclusion
Hunting is part of our heritage which is slowly being eroded. There is far more at stake here than the issue of fox hunting.
What are your views on the plight of the elderly?

I object very strongly to a bunch of mindless politicians taking issue on a subject such as this and drafting in emergency measures to push a bill through, when there are far more important and pressing social issues that need to be urgetly addressed. For example old people in Britain, yes Britain starving, Pensioners who fought in world wars to ensure our liberty robbed of their pensions and living in Poverty. They are left in Old Peoples homes in disgusting conditions without dignity, many spending their lst few yrs drugged up to the eyeballs because they cannot get the attention they need...its easier to keep them that way... They are just an inconvenience to the younger generation. (No I am nowhere near pensionable age)

There are people trying to get onto drug rehabilitaion schemes and there are no spaces as there is no funding...........I could go on..but I hope you can see my point here
This is what politicians should be focusing on. They need to get a grip on the real issues not hounding, pardon the pun, people who enjoy hunting.

Eco Spider, please share your views on the plight of the elderly or indeed the way our present government deals with Social "human" issues?
Perhaps I am one of the masses, just stuck in between, that just watches all this in sheer disbelief

Hi Eco
I can see we have touched on a very raw nerve here..so I will tread carefully.
Is the real issue here, you object to all hunting....or just the chinless bunch of hooray henries?
I am not for or against hunting. It is part of our heritage....yes..that does not make it right or wrong...but what is at stake here is not Hunting but the way Parliament passed the bill as an emergency measure, I believe normally reserved for ACTS of war. Please correct me someone if I have misunderstood the way in which this bill was rushed through.
Where will this end? Hunting now, what will the mindless politicians rush through next, fishing? Whether we agree or disagree we are meant to be a democracy
Tell me Eco, would you campaign so rigorously for the rights of the OAPs caged in so called care homes, drugged up to the eyeballs and left to die in Poverty and without dignity. The Pensioners who work all their life, look forward to their retirement and then robbed of their pension..where is the government then?
No emergency measures
Where is the respect and support shown for all those who fought in the wars to preserve our way of life in the future?
Not to mention the drug addicts who need to get into reahabilatation centres, there are no places as there is no funding.
The real issue here is choice... freedom. We are a democracy or are we?
This is far deeper than the right to hunt all of our rights are being eroded away.
eco...Please share your thoughts on how we treat vunerable people?
