Wood burning stove suppliers
Wood burning stove suppliers
The guy I wanted to use does not advocate the type of stove we want, so I headed off to the fireplace shop on the 125 centro de lareiras to find it is no longer. I am not sure where another supplier is. The sort of log burner we are looking at is contemporary and compact. It is circular, has revolving doors. choose whether you want very slow burning, ie overnight or something a bit more racey. Equally you can choose where you want to point the heat. You do not need the usual type of fire place as it can be via the flue out of the wall, then who knows what happens.
The company is Stuv who hail from Belgium. The efficiency is 80% plus. Power ranges on one version 3-8kw and the other 6-12 kW, which depends on what mode you are burning. The price is a bit steep but we have not seen anything to match the look yet. We have asked for a price here which was between 3.6k and about 5k. Our villa has amazing insulation, so even December it is never damp and not freezing, but you need a bit of sitting room warmth or PJ's and a nice fleecy blanket.
Any thoughts on this issue appreciated.

Leroy Merlin had a lot in the building section at the LHS, otherwise I can give you a name of a company in UK but shipping might be a problem as they are so damn heavy - and getting up your steps........
Re: Wood burning stove suppliers
We have a Bullerjan which is pretty funky looking and is really efficient.
Re: Wood burning stove suppliers
I know w here you can get the fuel fairly cheaply, you'll need a screwdriver though.

Don't know anything about them, but from website looks like they have a comprehensive range. Based in Faro.

Thank you. Pickwick already knows. The guy he suggested does not stock them.

Hi Licy
Don't really understand what the problem is. Buy the one you want, have it shipped to Portugal and get Geoff or the builder to instal it!

Wanted to see if I can get a better price, but as the fireplace shop has gone I can't even ask their price.pickwick wrote:Hi Licy

Yes, you'll need a stainless steel flu.
We have recently bought the most amazingly efficient woodburner. Made by an Australian firm STOVAX. Google it and see for yourself.
