ASAE clampdown on illegal rentals
Re: ASAE clampdown on illegal rentals
It was indeed a repeat post well spotted. I'm a tad disappointed that you have taken the trouble to complain about my posts publicly especially as we have met & enjoyed dinner together with mutual friends. Perhaps you're having a bad day at the office ? Or maybe you're just being objectionable? Either way if you don't like my posts don't read them.shanagarry wrote:I am sure you mean well - but it's getting too repetitive - give it a rest please

Not the case Peter and I am not being personal. For the most part your posts make sense and are relevant - but now the topic is no longer 'News". Clearly you're a man on a mission with the topic and it could be that all of you who own and rent your properties want this topic at the top of the agenda - so be it.
Incidentally, I've had a very good day at the office and driven from Oxford to The South Coast in beautiful sunshine - reminds me of Carvoeiro - happy days.
Keep well my friend

I think Widge is anxious to impart what is necessary. We have a license but I suspect in the scheme of things ours was easy as the villa is pretty new, I am inclined to agree insurance could be invalid if you are renting illegally, albeit I have never been asked if I have a Rental license but we did say we rented out. We have to complete properly printed invoices in triplicate. We convert to €'s. You are required to charge renters 6% IVA as well. Our IVA is paid quarterly after deducting IVA you have paid for that quarter, such as electric, water and so on. The 15% then being paid at the end of the financial year? You are not permitted any deductions other than IVA. Also for what ever reason it is my hubby that submits and therefore all invoices MUST be in his name to allow the IVA deduction. We are still learning however.

Well progress and it seems favourable, I won't have to pay any tax a company in Lagos will do all the necessary legal paperwork for my future income and set me on the road to legality, my manager will fix everything else and then it's all systems go for a happy future, absolutely no problems whatsoever 1,500 euros and I'm Mr Clean. PHEW!

At least that will be a weight off your mind in your winter years.pato wrote:Well progress and it seems favourable, I won't have to pay any tax a company in Lagos will do all the necessary legal paperwork for my future income and set me on the road to legality, my manager will fix everything else and then it's all systems go for a happy future, absolutely no problems whatsoever 1,500 euros and I'm Mr Clean.
