Hairdressers, etc
Hi our daughter is getting married in the Algarve in September and is putting together an info sheet for guests who will all be staying in/around Carvoeiro. She has asked me for names/contacts of good hairdressers/beauticians in the village and also for a list of taxi numbers. All help/advice much appreciated.Susan

Hi SusanB
When our daughter got " married" a couple of years ago at the Tivoli, she used Victor Picardo, going up restaurant hill, on the right : my wife went to Christine , just next door to MaJa's...both were satisfied! Beauty treatment was at the lovely hotel by the beach at Albandira:

Flowers were from an excellent place in Messines.
Is she marrying at the Tivoli? If so, Fia can give you all the info you need.
Best of luck

Re: Hairdressers, etc
Thanks for info Geoff, I will go in and see Christine. Our daughter is getting married at Quinta Dos Vales Vineyard. I think some of the guests are staying at Alba Suites. My hairdresser/beautician are based in Ferragudo/Alvor so not suitable for them.
Do you remember when my friend Jaq and I joined you both for a walk around Silves about 4 years ago? I had been hoping to join your walking group when we arrived here but my dog broke my ankle about 2-1/2 years ago when he ran into me!! I have just had my third op - an ankle replacement. I hope to join your walking group later in the year.

Hi Susan
What a small world...yes I do remember, the Isle Rosario walk, and you were the only two!...fortunately, we get a lot more these days...that was back in 2009 just after another daughter was married . Your picture is at :

Best of luck with the new ankle hope to see you walking in November.
Quinta Dos Vales Vineyard is a lovely spot & I am sure your daughter will have a lovely day.
My wife says she also goes to Chantelle in Ferraguedo, they do hair & beauty...just round the corner from the market, but it sounds as if you know that one.
Best wishes
Geoff
