rofl! well tbh no idea but i find it intresting to know what people favour plus these threads give me good ideas for books/movies i havent read/seen before!

Bleeker - I see you listed Jurassic Park in your top films - try the book (or any other book by Micheal Crichton i.e. Timeline, Airframe etc) - the book is VASTLY better than the film - I cannot believe Crichton allowed what is in fact a thoughtful and analytical book to be turned into such a one dimensional film.

Also highly recommend Crichton's early stuff (The Andromeda Strain etc) - the guy was well ahead of his time with his analysis of what man is doing to himself.

Cancer Ward (and A Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovitch) - Solzhenitsyn
The Grapes of Wrath - John Steinbeck
The Human Factor - Graham Greene

heya graham! i did read them(the first and the second) tbh but only after i had seen the first movie! i think its best that when possible see the movie first and then read the book cause the latter will in about 99% of the cases be better then the movie. and the andromeda strain...i think i might have read it but not sure(dutch title!) i`ll be sure to check it out thx!
