The most interesting place

Post by Janet O »

While my brother was out earlier this month,he went off to Faro and Estoi to see some lovely old castles and a chapel/museum where parts of the walls are covered in bones.
What other scenic/cultural finds have people made this year?
I myself would like to have a look around Almancil.

The most 'interesting' place we visited this year was Ameraco de Pera!
Well interesting in that we found a fantastic fish restaurant on the beach,
but not so interesting was finding that our car had been towed away
while we were eating and even less 'interesting' was having to pay the
120 euro fine! - sorry just needed to get that off my chest

Interestingly enough I found a flasher at the top of the steps down to Carvalho Beach! My sister and myself were coming up the steps to the car-park in Clube Atlantico from this beautiful beach to be met with a man who I stupidly thought was peeing. I suggested that he might go behind the bushes but he replied "why should I" I replied I didn't want to see what he had on show and that I thought he was very sad. He replied with a lot of abuse but didn't stop what he was doing.

 One of the most interesting and lovely places I have been to so far is Silves, the history and the castle as well as the church and the archeology is wonderful, have always loved the view of Silves as you come into it from Lagoa, what a view!
