Re: exchange rate
Yes, good rates yesterday Sunman, topped up at 1.63 USD and 1.20 Euro - went back for some more today and they both had gone down a point
Re: exchange rate
although the Eurozone is still getting some bad press there is a highly positive undertone, I own a little bit of a European Smaller Companies fund which has been flying lately, and the bad bond markets have mostly recovered, property buyers'll be back nextSAM SPARKLE wrote:Yes, good rates yesterday Sunman, topped up at 1.63 USD and 1.20 Euro - went back for some more today and they both had gone down a point
Re: exchange rate
sterling has crept over €1.25 on the spot market, looking forward to our visit to the worlds' best ex fisherman's hamlet next week, the bit of extra cash means we can study the menus on the walls of Jota Lita & A Gale rather than Bom Bord, & possibly enjoy an after dinner drink in Mungo's, hashtag excitement

I panicked and got my euros out early - still got €1.19 though. Not bad as the tourist exchage rate is not much better at the moment (probably cost me about €100 on 3 grand). Roll on 12th July
