For the sake of the colour blind amongst you :- Gordo = full cream, Meio Gordo = semiskimmed, Magro = skimmed.
Butter is also sold in the same varieties - also 'con sal' (salted) or 'sem sal' (unsalted).

Just remember to take your reading spectacles with you !!

To get back to the original topic - they all have their strengths and weaknesses.

Pao da Azucar - best on Mondays with 10% of their own brand - plus cheapest fuel in the area.
Pingo doce - generally cheapest for Portuguese food.
Intermarche - best selection but generally most expensive
Aldi - middle of the road pricewise with some different (mainly German) goods.
Continente - best for money back on their card.

Cod is also sold in two different ways - 'seco' (dried) and 'fresco' (fresh) - but you should be able to tell the difference even without your reading specs

I think you mean "sem sal" not "sin sal" . Perhaps you were looking at a Spanish milk packet. Alternatively - Specsavers!

Well who would have believed it no one really has any idea, save for green, blue and pink cartons. Buy any colour you fancy and if you don't like it choose another colour on your next visit. EASY PEASY

That would work if you always buy your milk from the same place - which we don't - not so easy LICY. Women eh!
