Vinyl pool

Hi, can anyone tell me how much I should expect to pay for a ready formed 8x4 in ground vinyl pool. Also would the pool company be able to sort planning permission and would I require an architect or would everything be done by the pool company. Thanks.

Maggyanne, do you mean an 8 X 4 metre GRP pool form ?

These seem to go from 14k upwards depending on spec. You will need to get info. on what you want regarding filtration, chemicals, cover and water supply.

Yes Thank you, my husband says that is what it is. We are back in the Algarve next week so we will have a look at some pool companies then. I was just trying to get some idea of what it would cost and what would be included with the pool purchase.

There are plenty of suppliers about, but beware of the installation terms! do they dig the hole, how long do they allow, do they transport the material away, do they connect to the mains etc.

Thanks for that information, I had assumed the price they quote would have included digging the hole, removing the rubbish and filling the pool. I would have thought that when they had finished the pool would have been filled and ready to use. We are also wanting some landscaping doing and an outdoor kitchen building so we are hoping to get one company to do all the work. Is this possible?

Thanks very much I will ring I when I am in Carvoeiro next week. Did you need to employ an architect or did the builder arrange everything, including obtaining planning permission.
