Baby formula

This year we have our 9 month old grandson coming away with us. My daughter was wondering whether to bring his baby milk with her from uk or is it the same price in carvoeiro?, he is on Aptamil. Would be grateful if someone could advise.

My daughter always brought it with her as although we could find Aptimil the pacakaging wasn't the same and she was afraid that the formulation might be different as well and upset the baby.
Of equal importance is the bottled water that you buy to make it up as some contain high levels of minerals. After consulting the local Chemist we were advised to biuy the Luso brand.

I think it is each to their own with a lot of this but we bought the Aptamil locally for our son who was also 9 months old when we were there last year and he took it as he did at home. A Portuguese friend of ours also recommended buying the Luso bottled water which we did and had no problems at all there either. I do seem to recall that their is a Portuguese formula in a similar looking packaging to the Aptamil so just make sure you are buying the right thing!
